book today!

Join us for our brand new SFH Village fete on the green on 21st July 2024 and help us celebrate our 40th year of providing palliative and end of life care to local people.

Families are invited to join us for the day, under the shelter of a beautiful, stretched marquee. We are excited to bring you a live performance of 12th Night by the Romford Shakespeare Theatre and interactive story telling by Havering Library - the best entertainment for children.

Relax and enjoy some favourite summer tunes by our resident DJ Andy Furneaux while savouring refreshments from the food stalls and the bar. You are also welcome to bring a picnic with you.

There will be egg and spoon races, hook a duck, tin can alley, a bouncy castle, arts and crafts for the children, and the adults too!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there seating available?

No -  please bring a chair, or picnic blanket and be prepared to get yourself comfy under the stretch tent.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes - you are welcome to bring a picnic and stay for the day to enjoy the entertainment. There will be food available to purchase at the fete and drinks will also be available to purchase from our fully stocked bar.

Can I bring my dog?

No - We would advise that on this occasion you leave your dog's at home, as it's a smaller space and families will be attending (plus the entertainment might not be as much fun for your dog, it might be a little loud with the children too).

Are there toilets?

Yes - toilets are available for all who need them.

Will my children have things to do?

Yes - all children who attend can receive a free face paint and colouring book and of course the story time will be the perfect opportunity for you to relax, knowing your children are having a great time.

Is there parking available?

Some parking will be available at the hospice (just over the road), the church also has some parking available too and all parking is free.

Will all money raised go towards the huge amount of money needed to keep Saint Francis Hospice services free, to everyone who needs it?

Yes - all ticket proceeds, cash collected in buckets and items purchased by card will be donated straight to the hospice.

(Thank you in advance)

Will the village fete still go ahead if it rains?

Yes - we have a stretch tent, which provides shelter if there is any rain on the day of the fete, so we encourage everyone to attend.
