At Saint Francis Hospice, local people, their families and loved ones are at the heart of everything we do.

On Monday 4th April, we are launching our updated brand so more people in our community understand that Saint Francis Hospice is here for them and to help break-down barriers to people accessing our palliative and end of life care services.

Key changes include a heart logo to replace the image of Saint Francis holding a three layered sun above him and the strapline 'Caring for you' will replace 'Living with Dignity.'

The cost of the changes have been made possible thanks to sponsorship from our long standing supporters Paragon Customer Communications based in Dagenham.

"This is very much about brand evolution, not brand revolution," said Pam Court, CEO at Saint Francis Hospice.

"There are some elements of our brand identity that we hold dear and are not changing. This includes our name and our strong brand colour orange.

"Feedback suggested that some people didn't understand what our logo represented. We want to make sure our hospice is accessible to everyone in our community who needs our care.

"A heart is a universal symbol that transcends language and is an image that any person of any faith or no faith or race can relate to.

"The hospice has also undergone digital transformation and the updated brand works better on digital platforms.

"It is timely to make the changes now because we launch our new website in April 2022.

"We're incredibly grateful to Paragon Customer Communications for their ongoing support and helping us to ensure everyone in our community knows that Saint Francis Hospice is their local hospice and is there to care and support them."

"We have loved working with Saint Francis Hospice for a number of years and have been happy to help with the brand update and look forward to supporting the charity in the future," said Ellie Murray, Senior Account Director at Paragon Customer Communications.

Hospice Trustee Peter Batt, added, "This is an exciting time for Saint Francis Hospice.  It is essential that every organisation evolves so that it stays relevant to its community. The brand update will ensure the charity continues to connect with its wonderful supporters and everyone who needs its compassion and care. It will also make it easier to engage with new supporters and people who may not know about Saint Francis Hospice."
