Saint Francis Hospice and The Charity Shop Gift Card
Not sure what to buy your family, friends and loved ones this Christmas? Here Paul Newell, Head of Retail at Saint Francis Hospice, shares why The Charity Shop Gift Card is the perfect gift!
We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new Gift Card partnership with the Charity Shop Gift Card.
Our 14 charity shops now accept and sell The Charity Shop Gift Card. Christmas is the key period for selling gift cards with half of all retail gift cards purchased in November and December, and we’re hoping people will put it on their Christmas list!
With the rise in people willing to buy and gift pre-loved goods, The Charity Shop Gift Card is a great option for a conscious and sustainable Christmas gift.
As a charity, we rely on donations and charitable giving to fund our compassionate palliative and end-of-life care services. So, while shoppers are helping people and families who need hospice care, they are part of the sustainable shopping movement and making an even bigger difference to the world we live in.
There’s so much to love about our shops. If you are looking for a unique gift or high-quality goods, including designer brands, at great prices, just pop into your local Saint Francis Hospice shop and you won’t be disappointed.
2024 has been a very busy year for us. We were proud to open two new stores. Our Patron, Sir Trevor Brooking opened our boutique-style store in Loughton in May. The former Hammers hero and England International was back to open our superstore in Hornchurch in October.
Our shops are an important part of our community. For some people they are their first contact with the hospice and where they find out more about the services it provides. For other people who may have experienced the hospice or for people who may be feeling lonely and isolated, our shops offer a friendly face and chat when they need it.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the support we’ve received from our customers, and everyone who has gifted us their pre-loved goods. We hope you will continue to support us through 2025.
And a big shout-out goes to all our dedicated volunteers who give up their time to run our shops throughout the year - our shops couldn’t open if it weren’t for all their hard work and efforts.
